A VIEW ON ITALIAN VENTURE CAPITAL

CDP in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Washington, the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Innovation & Culture Hub, organized the event “A view on Italian venture capital”. The first appointment of the CDP International Roadshow aims at presenting an overview of the CDP Group, its equity strategy, and its role in the Italian venture capital market with a focus on venture capital. The Roadshow was promoted with the aim of creating a network of connections with key players from California and other American states to encourage the development of the venture capital market.

The conference, opened by the Italian Ambassador to the United States Mariangela Zappia, was held at the Italian Innovation and Culture Hub (Innovit) and saw speeches from the Consul General of Italy in San Francisco Sergio Strozzi, the Director of Innovit Alberto Acito and the top management of CDP with Chairman Giovanni Gorno Tempini, the Chief Executive Officer Dario Scannapieco, the CEO of CDP Venture Capital Enrico Resmini and the Chief Economist Andrea Montanino.

Startuppers, including Italians, from various high-tech sectors – from medtech to biotech and from industry 4.0 to aerospace – then took part, presenting their stories and development projects to the audience.
