Fabio Barchiesi

Deputy General Manager and Director of Investments, People, Transformation and External Relations

At CDP since 2021, he is Deputy General Manager and Director of Investments, Human Resources, Transformation, Information Technology and External Relations. He holds a degree in Economics, an Executive MBA from LUISS Business School and an Executive Programme in Planning, Strategy and Control from Bocconi University. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of CDP Equity. Previously, he held the positions of Director of the CEO Staff and Head of Plan Implementation and Strategic Initiatives at CDP. He also served as Director of Development, Governance and Equity Business at CDP Equity.

Alessandro Tonetti

Deputy General Manager – Head of Legal, Corporate Affairs, Regulatory and European Affairs 

At CDP since 2010, he serves as Deputy General Manager and Head of Legal, Corporate Affairs, Regulatory and European Affairs. He graduated with honors in Law from Sapienza University and earned a PhD in Administrative Law and Public Administration Organization and Operations, as well as a postgraduate specialization in European Public Law.

From 2006 to 2010 and again from 2013 to 2016, he served at the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, most recently as Deputy Chief of Staff. 

Gianluca Bisognani

Head of Public Administration

At CDP since 2025, he is responsible for financing and advisory services for public administrationss and for coordinating CDP’s competence centers. He holds a degree in Political Economy from the University of Bologna and an MSc in Finance from London Business School.

His previous professional experience includes roles at the Bank of Italy, McKinsey, Prometeia, and senior executive positions within several banking groups, including UBI, IW Bank, Sella, and Crédit Agricole. 

Fabio Massoli

Administration, Finance, Control and Sustainability Director

Chief Financial Officer, Administration, Finance, Control and Sustainability; Officer in Charge of Financial Reporting

At CDP since 2015, he serves as chief financial officer.  He ppreviously served as hHead of fFinance and deputy CFO. 
He has over 30 years of experience in inance, having held senior oles within major national and international financial institutions, including Capitalia Group, UniCredit Group, and BNP Paribas Group.

He has served on the boards of and non-listed companies. He currently sits on the board of directors of Autostrade per l’Italia and is an adjunct professor in Corporate fFinance at LUISS University.

Andrea Montanino

Chief Economist and Head of Sectoral Strategies and Impact.

At CDP since 2020, he serves as Chief Economist Internationally, he had served as Executive Director at the Director at the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C., and Senior Economist at the European Commission.

In Italy, he was Director of the Confindustria Centro Director General of the Treasury Department, and Advisor to Italian Finance Minister Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa. He teaches Geoeconomics at LUISS University.

Andrea Nuzzi

Head of Business

At CDP since 2016, he is responsible for corporate clients, financial institutions, and infrastructure.

He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from LUISS University and previously held management positions at McKinsey, the Council of Experts of the Treasury Department (Ministry of Economy and Finance), ExxonMobil, and Banca Popolare di Bari. 

Giorgio Mauro Pieralli

Head of Real Estate

Head of Real Estate at CDP since 2026, he is responsible for coordinating the Group’s real estate business and defining and implementing its strategic guidelines. He brings more than twenty years of international experience in real estate finance, gained through senior roles in major European markets within the AXA and Zurich groups. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, a Master's degree from Bocconi University, with further studies at the London School of Economics. 

Carlo Rossotto

Director of Development Cooperation and International Institutional Relations

At CDP since 2026, he is responsible for development finance strategy, helping mobilize capital for infrastructure and private sector development initiatives. With more than 25 years of international experience in development finance and investment banking, including within the World Bank Group, he has established and led complex financing platforms across worldwide working closely with governments, multilateral institutions, and global investors.

Manuela Sabbatini

Head of Internal Audit

At CDP since 2016, she was initially responsible for consolidated financial statements and Group accounting standards.

During more than 15 years at KPMG in the financial sector, she led statutory audit engagements, transitions to international accounting standards, and support activities related to listing processes. She also has experience serving as a board member and as a member of Supervisory Bodies. She regularly lectures in postgraduate and specialist training programs. 

Nicola Santini

Head of CEO Office

Nicola Santini has served as Head of the CEO Office at CDP since November 2024. In this role, he coordinates the definition of the company’s strategic plan and oversees its implementation, as well as the coordination of activities of strategic importance to the organization. Previously, he held positions at the European Investment Bank, ultimately becoming Director of the Strategy, Policies and Business Support Department. Prior to that, e worked at Banca IMI. He graduated with honors in Economics from Bocconi University. 

Francesca Scaglia

Chief Risk Officer

At CDP since 2024, she is responsible for integrated risk management, investment proposal assessment, compliance, and anti-money laundering activities. She holds a degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Milan and a Master's degree in Economics from Bocconi University. Her career spans investment banking and financial risk management at UniCredit Group, followed by her role as Chief Risk Officer at Banco di Desio e della Brianza. She serves on the boards of directors of Euronext NV and Saipem.
