Bonds

CDP is active on financial markets through programmes of medium-and long-term bond issuance (Debt Issuance Programme) and short-term Commercial Paper, both reserved to institutional investors. Through our ESG bonds, we finance initiatives that generate positive social and environmental impacts.

We also offer bond issues to retail investors resident in Italy and raise funds from Italian savers through structured products. Our offering is constantly evolving to strengthen our market positioning and ensure continuity in fulfilling our mission to support the country.

Since 2023, we are active in the U.S. market through Yankee Bond issuances. In 2024, the Digital Bond marked CDP’s first blockchain-based issuance and the first issuance in Italy using Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) under the FinTech Decree Law. In 2025, for the first time, funds were also raised from retail investors through the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana) platform, broadening investor access and engaging an extensive banking network.
