Trilantic Europe and CDP Equity sell stakes in Italian agritech leader Diagram S.p.A., to BF International Best Fields Best Food Ltd

Rome, 17 October 2026 - Trilantic Europe, a leading pan-European private equity firm, and CDP Equity S.p.A., the equity investment holding company of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group, entered into agreements to sell their stakes in Italian agritech firm Diagram S.p.A to BF International Best Fields Best Food Ltd (BFI), part of the BF Spa the Italy’s leading agro-industrial group. More specifically, according to the agreements, Trilantic Europe will sell to BFI its entire 41.6% stake and CDP Equity agreed – among other things – the mutual granting of put and call options over its stake to be sold in multiple tranches, to continue supporting the company over the coming years. Completion of the overall transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent, including the receipt of applicable regulatory clearances.

On Trilantic Europe side, the transaction has been executed through Triagri S.p.A., the vehicle through which Trilantic Europe VI and its co-investors hold their investment in Diagram.

Formed in 2022 through the integration of IBF Servizi and Agronica, Diagram is the leading agritech player in Italy, providing digital solutions to farmers, food processing companies, consortia, financial institutions and public bodies. Operating in more than 20 countries, its platforms monitor over 50 million hectares and support the management of over €20 billion of agricultural subsidies. BFI already owns a 15% stake in the company.

Since investing in Diagram in May 2025, Trilantic Europe and CDP Equity have worked with management to strengthen the senior team, develop a focused value creation plan, integrate the group on a common ERP platform, accelerate the adoption of AI and advance the company’s M&A and international expansion initiatives.

Vittorio Pignatti Morano, Chairman of Trilantic Europe, said: “Diagram has been a highly successful investment for Trilantic Europe and exemplifies our investment approach of building long-term partnerships with outstanding entrepreneurs and management teams. Together with CDP Equity, we have supported the company through a significant phase of growth. We wish Diagram and the Bonifiche Ferraresi Group every success in the years ahead”.

Fabio Barchiesi, Chief Executive Officer of CDP Equity, said: “This phased exit represents an important step in CDP Equity’s capital rotation strategy and comes at a particularly positive time for the company, which achieved many of the industrial and financial targets two years ahead of plan. This transaction confirms the quality and decisive role of the work carried out by CDP Equity in supporting high-potential companies along paths of sustainable growth on a global scale”.
