Milan, 15 October 2026 – The first CDP Investor Day was held today, bringing together more than 150 Italian and international institutional investors and representatives of the financial community for discussions with CDP and the Group’s portfolio companies on the key issues shaping Italy’s economic and industrial agenda.
Held at SDA Bocconi in Milan, the event offered investors their first opportunity to meet, in a single venue, representatives of some of Italy’s most strategic companies. The initiative was designed to strengthen dialogue with the market, while highlighting CDP’s role as a platform combining financial resources and expertise to mobilise capital and deploy instruments in support of Italy’s sustainable growth.
Participants included CDP Chairman Giovanni Gorno Tempini, CDP Chief Executive Officer Dario Scannapieco, Bocconi University Rector Francesco Billari, as well as senior executives from CDP and the Group’s portfolio companies, including Poste Italiane, Eni, Snam, Terna, Italgas, Nexi, Fincantieri, Ansaldo Energia and Autostrade per l’Italia. They were joined by leading representatives of the Italian and international business and financial communities, including Fidelity International, Goldman Sachs, Eurizon, BlackRock, Bank of America Securities, Intermonte, Wellington, PIMCO, Amundi, World Bank Group and Accenture Italia.
“The first CDP Investor Day – said CDP Chairman Giovanni Gorno Tempini – reflects our commitment to open dialogue on the challenges reshaping the global economy. The participation of the financial community adds particular value to this discussion, helping us better understand each other’s priorities and identify opportunities for collaboration. Close cooperation is essentialand,as a National Promotional Institution, CDP plays an important role in making it possible. We can act as a bridge between public priorities and private investment. Our distinctive feature is our presence in strategic sectors of the economy through the CDP Group and its portfolio companies. The strength of this ecosystem lies in its connections: infrastructure supports businesses, international expansion creates opportunities for growth, and innovation opens up new possibilities. Bringing these companies together helps investors better understand the opportunities offered by each sector and how they contribute to Italy’s long-term growth”.
“In recent years – said CDP Chief Executive Officer Dario Scannapieco – CDP has significantly expanded its presence in the capital markets, developing an increasingly broad and diversified investor base while strengthening its track record of innovation. Since 2023, we have issued four Yankee Bonds, further consolidating our position in international markets, and today more than 550 institutional investors participate in our bond issuances. We have been pioneers in sustainable and digital finance, issuing Italy’s first Social Bond and Europe’s first Green Bond with blockchain-based reporting. This progress has established CDP as a trusted partner in international capital markets. With our first Investor Day, we are taking a further step in this direction by creating, for the first time, a single platform where the financial community can engage not only with CDP, but also with the companies and ecosystems through which we invest, operate and deliver long-term impact for Italy”.
Discussions throughout the day focused on several key issues for the Italian economy and financial markets: the impact of artificial intelligence on business models and productivity; the resources and financial instruments required to support the energy transition; the role of strategic networks; the competitiveness of Italian technology in international markets; infrastructure financing; and the opportunities offered by finance to drive economic development.
Investors also had the opportunity to engage directly with the Group’s portfolio companies during dedicated meetings.
