CDP RETI: signed a new 600-million-euro term loan agreement
Rome, 5 November 2024 – CDP RETI S.p.A. (“CDP RETI”) announces that, as of today, it has entered into a new term loan agreement totaling 600 million euro.
This transaction is part of CDP RETI's refinancing strategy, with a maximum amount of up to 1.2 billion euro, as approved by the Board of Directors on 26 July 2024, and follows the 600-million-euro bond issuance placed on the capital markets on 28 August 2024.
The new 5-year facility agreement has been fully underwritten by a pool of banks. The proceeds will be used to fully repay the remaining outstanding debt from the existing loan agreements.
CDP RETI SpA is an investment vehicle owned by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA (59.1%), State Grid Europe Limited (35.0%), a member of State Grid Corporation of China Group, and a group of Italian institutional investors (5.9%). CDP RETI’s mission is to manage the investments in SNAM (31.4% as of 31 December 2023), TERNA (29.9% as of 31 December 2023) and ITALGAS (26.0% as of 31 December 2023).
