Bellaria Igea Marina: improvement of school buildings and cultural heritage with CDP

A strong partnership to restore public heritage buildings and improve quality of life

One of the most important seaside resorts on the Adriatic since the beginning of the 20th century, awarded the Blue Flag for its environmental and service quality, the prestigious award from the Foundation for Environmental Education: this is Bellaria Igea Marina, a city in the province of Rimini with a population of almost 20,000, which hosts up to 100,000 tourists in the summer season.

In addition to a focus on tourist services, there is also a commitment to developing the city’s cultural heritage, with the redevelopment of the Casa Rossa complex, built by the well-known writer Alfredo Panzini, now a museum. Casa Finotti, adjacent to the complex and occupied by Panzini's tenant farmer, has also been renovated.

Significant work has also taken place to build a multi-purpose activity centre for culture and health and for the construction of a new kindergarten, both made possible with the support of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti as the Municipality’s partner.

The partnership between the Municipality and CDP, aimed at improving culture, social cohesion and sustainability, has not only seen the recovery and use of public heritage buildings, improving services for citizens, but will also lead to new projects in the field of soft mobility, school building improvements and the promotion of port and marine tourism.
