The Board of Directors of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has confirmed Giovanni Gorno Tempini in the role of President of the CDP Foundation, a non-profit organisation of the CDP Group. The BoD of the CDP Foundation also renewed the appointment of Francesca Sofia as General Director effective 25 May. The Foundation’s Board of Directors has also been renewed in its composition, with members Stefano Bruno Galli, Mariapia Mastroddi, Simona Panseri Roberto Reggi. Finally, the Board of Auditors has been redefined, with Stefano Marchesano as chair, supported by Vincenzo Marranzini and Simona Vittoriana Cassarà.
During the three years of 2026-2028, the Foundation will operate within the framework of the new Strategic Plan, which strengthens its role as a philanthropic organisation capable of creating synergies among institutions, businesses and the third sector. The action will focus on three priority areas – Education and social inclusion, Scientific research and Art and culture – with targeted initiatives on training and prevention of school leaving, promotion of excellence and high-impact research, and the use of cultural heritage as a lever for cohesion and development, with particular attention to the south of Italy. The new cycle is in continuity with the previous three-year period, strengthening the focus on intervention areas and operational tools.
During the years 2023-2025, the Foundation allocated over 21.8 million euro, supporting more than 90 projects and numerous initiatives in collaboration with external partners.
