Webuild, a global leader in the design and construction of major infrastructure

Webuild is a listed company and one of the world's leading operators in the design and construction of large, complex infrastructure. As an Italian group operating on an international scale, it delivers projects across sustainable mobility, clean hydro-energy, water infrastructure, and civil and industrial construction. Its portfolio includes railways, subways, bridges, roads, dams, hydroelectric plants, and systems for water treatment and desalination. 

CDP Equity invested in the company in 2019, subscribing 250 million euros as part of a capital increase carried out to support "Progetto Italia". This initiative was aimed at consolidating the Italian construction sector and integrating Astaldi alongside other industry operators.  

The transaction supports the reinforcement of Webuild as a national champion in large-scale infrastructure, enhancing the company's role in delivering strategic infrastructural works for the country. The company has also taken part in major works included in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
