GreenIT, supporting renewable energy production in Italy

GreenIT is the joint venture established in 2021 by Eni Plenitude (51%) and CDP Equity (49%) to develop, build and operate renewable electricity generation plants in Italy, focusing primarily on solar and wind power.

CDP Equity supports the company’s growth by backing its Business Plan, which provides for investments of around €2 billion with the aim of achieving total installed capacity of approximately 1.1 GW over the medium term across solar, onshore and offshore wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Through greenfield development and the acquisition of authorised and operational projects, the investment contributes to Italy’s energy transition and to achieving the sustainability targets of Italy and the European Union.
