Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Fondazione Livorno join forces for the region: a new “Spazio CDP” inaugurated in Livorno

A cooperation agreement has been signed between the two institutions to strengthen support for local businesses and public administrations, including through the opening of a new office at Palazzo Vagnetti.

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti’s network of regional offices has now reached 28 across Italy.

Creating new development opportunities for local enterprises and public bodies is the goal of the cooperation agreement signed by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Fondazione Livorno. Under this partnership, which further strengthens the relationship between the two institutions, “Spazio CDP” was officially opened today, providing an operational office located at Palazzo Vagnetti, the Foundation’s headquarters in the Tuscan city.

This is the second facility that Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has established in the Tuscany region and the 28th nationwide. These offices provide spaces for meetings and consulting designed to facilitate project collaboration with local stakeholders, offering them the most suitable tools to meet their various needs.

The inauguration of the new Cassa Depositi e Prestiti space was attended by the President, Luciano Barsotti, for Fondazione Livorno, and by the Business Director, Andrea Nuzzi, and the Director of Public Administration, Advisory and Technical Competence Centres, Gianluca Bisognani, for CDP.

The partnership, which aims to further strengthen Cassa Depositi e Prestiti’s local presence, aligns with the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan's objective of bringing CDP closer to both public and private entities, solidifying its role as a national promotional bank for Italy’s development through the expansion of its regional network.

Over the past three years (2022-2024), CDP has deployed around €2.5 billion in support of the Tuscany Region, assisting more than 4,600 businesses and 520 public bodies.

Luciano Barsotti, President of Fondazione Livorno, remarked: “We are very pleased with the opening of this space. CDP’s local presence will be valuable for initiatives supporting the growth of the local business community, to the benefit of all parties involved, while also strengthening relations with public administrations. Livorno’s central position along the Tuscan coast will also enable faster engagement not only with public and business organisations in the city but also with those in neighbouring provinces.”
Andrea Nuzzi, Head of Business at CDP, commented: “Thanks to our partnership with Fondazione Livorno and the opening of this new operational office, CDP will be even closer to local enterprises to promote their growth and competitiveness. Every day we work to strengthen collaboration with our stakeholders, driven by the belief that a structured dialogue is key for timely and effective solutions.”
Gianluca Bisognani, Head of Public Administration, Advisory and Technical Competence Centres at CDP, added: “We are very pleased to further reinforce our presence in Tuscany and consolidate our productive collaboration with Fondazione Livorno. Public administrations are undergoing a major transformation, especially at the local level, and CDP stands by their side, complementing financial support with the advisory expertise that our professionals make available to public bodies.”
