On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the CDP Group renews its commitment to equality, fairness and the safety of all people. The façades of the Group’s offices are illuminated in red to reaffirm the rejection of all forms of violence and promote a culture based on respect.
Despite regulatory efforts and prevention campaigns, gender-based violence remains a structural phenomenon: the proportion of women subjected to violence has remained largely unchanged over recent decades. In Italy too, the figures remain alarming, with 78 femicides recorded since the beginning of 2025 (National Observatory – Non Una Di Meno).
Preventing violence means addressing its root causes – inequalities, stereotypes, economic and cultural discrimination – areas in which CDP’s commitment is also focused.
Since 2023 CDP has embarked on a structured path on gender equality, earning UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification and updating its Code of Ethics with the principle of zero tolerance for any form of violence or discrimination.
This year CDP renews and strengthens its commitment to creating a safe workplace for everyone by joining the PARI association, a network of companies promoting a culture of respect. Established in 2024 as a network of companies, it now includes around 50 organisations with a common goal: working on culture through culture, starting from workplaces and addressing people not only as professionals but also as mothers, fathers, children, friends and partners. The aim is to bring hidden violence to light, shift perceptions of these issues and build educational communities capable of going beyond corporate boundaries to reach everyone. A commitment that further solidifies the protection measures already in place.
This commitment forms part of the numerous initiatives promoted in synergy with the CDP Foundation, the CDP Group Women’s Association and through the corporate volunteering programme “Protagonisti d’impatto”.
In addition, CDP promotes pathways for returning to work with Save the Children and financial/education initiatives with FEduF. A lack of adequate financial knowledge can expose vulnerable groups to economic violence. A phenomenon that occurs when the lack of control over money leads to abuse and coercion, with serious repercussions on victims’ autonomy and freedom. With FEduF and other Third Sector partners, CDP is carrying forward a project dedicated to women in vulnerable conditions, providing basic tools on saving, money management and access to banking services.
