The first phase of the Award promoted by POLIMI Graduate School of Management in cooperation with CDP has been completed and the evaluation of the initiatives has begun. Most submissions come from public administrations and SMEs based in southern Italy
The final selection of the winners, entrusted to a high-profile jury, will be announced on 28 May
Over 130 submissions were received for the first edition of the Impact Award promoted by POLIMI Graduate School of Management in collaboration with Bari Polytechnic, the Tiresia research centre, and with the support of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. The initiative’s goal is to identify and promote projects that generate positive social and environmental impacts.
The conclusion of the first phase of collecting submissions triggered the beginning of the second stage dedicated to the assessment of the projects received, equally distributed between those with environmental and social impacts and marked by a strong participation of public administrations and SMEs based in southern Italy. The analysis will be coordinated by a commission of experts from POLIMI Graduate School of Management, Tiresia and Bari Polytechnic.
The final selection will be entrusted to a jury of experts: Mara Airoldi, Academic Co-Director of the Government Outcomes Lab at the Blavatnik School of Government of the University of Oxford; Vito Albini, Professor of Economic and Management Engineering and Founder of the Laboratory of Knowledge Management at the Bari Polytechnic; Mario Calderini, Professor at POLIMI Graduate School of Management and Director of the Tiresia Research Centre; Matilde Celentano, Delegate for Welfare, Social Policies and Active Labour Policies at ANCI; Enrico Giovannini, Scientific Director of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASVIS) and Professor of Economic Statistics and Sustainable Development at the University of Rome Tor Vergata; Massimo Mondazzi, Professor of ESG Principles in the Energy Industry at Milan Polytechnic; Maria Cristina Pisani, President of the National Youth Council; Lara Ponti, Vice President of Environmental Transition and ESG Objectives at Confindustria; Silvia Ricci, Vice President of Ecological Transition at the National Association of Building Constructors (ANCE); and Francesco Rullani, Scientific Director of the Impact Unit of the Yunus Social Business Centre at Ca' Foscari University in Venice.
The winning projects will be announced on 28 May in Milan at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology.
