Venice invests in locations for the community

With CDP, the Municipality buys the Toniolo theatre and builds a new sports facility

It’s one of the buildings that most represents the Venetian mainland, a point of reference for culture and entertainment in the city for more than a century. The Toniolo Theatre is one of the most active on the national scene.

With an ordinary loan of 5.8 million from CDP, the Municipality has purchased the property in the heart of Mestre to make it an arts location and meeting place to an even greater extent.

This isn’t the only transaction that the administration has completed with the support of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. CDP has also financed the construction of the Lido Arcieri sports facility (for archers), accessible to people with motor disabilities, with over 400 thousand euros.

Buying the theatre and building the archery centre are some examples of the commitment of the administrations – and CDP alongside them – to offer those who live in the city spaces for creating, making art, playing sports and building relationships. Every day.
