Two million masks for the Italian Carabinieri Corps on the front line of the Coronavirus emergency

The devices will be supplied to all women and men in the Corps engaged countrywide.

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti donated two million surgical masks to the Italian Carabinieri armed forces, in order to protect them during their monitoring activities throughout Italy.

The masks were delivered in Rome during a ceremony presided by Giovanni Nistri, Commander-General of the Carabinieri Corps, and Fabrizio Palermo, Chief Executive Officer of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.

With this donation, the CDP Group reiterated its support to those who are engaged every day in the difficult fight against Covid-19 infection, launching initiatives that provide concrete assistance to the healthcare system and the Civil Protection Department.

In the past weeks, a first batch was distributed to soldiers in the worst-hit northern regions, thanks to the collaboration of the Alibaba Group. A tangible commitment to guarantee that the Corps can continue protecting citizens in full safety.

This donation to the Carabinieri Corps is the first one in a structured support plan developed by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti to overcome the current emergency and adds to the measures already in place to support companies and public authorities, further evidence of CDP's closeness to Italy even during the most difficult periods.
