Training courses on a sustainable transition for the PA

The new courses developed by the Department of Public Administration and ASviS, with the contribution of CDP, as part of the NRRP are underway

The programme will involve over 3.5 million civil servants

Rome, 9 June 2023 - The new online training courses on a sustainable transition for public administration bodies, organised by the Department of Public Administration of the Prime Minister's Office and the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), will start on 7 June 2023. Available modules include “PA 2030 - The decentralisation of the Sustainable Development Goals”, to which Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) contributed.

The courses will involve over 3.5 million civil servants, with the aim of improving knowledge on sustainable development issues and providing practical tools to address ESG challenges. The training course, which is part of the directive "Planning of training and development of functional skills for the digital, ecological and administrative transition promoted by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan", includes various programmes aimed at civil servants in central administrations and local authorities, focusing on knowledge of sustainable development issues and the cultural and operational tools needed to address the challenges of ecological transition with a multi-level approach: regional, national and global.

Among these, the course "PA 2030 –The decentralisation of the Sustainable Development Goals", financed by CDP, is aimed at government bodies, managers and civil servants in regions, provinces and municipalities interested in learning about and exploring the process of local transformation.  Delivered in e-learning and divided into five modules, the training course outlines the main opportunities and challenges of the ecological transition, exploring tools and methods for measuring, monitoring and communicating the SDGs, and proposes useful initiatives to create a system, such as innovative partnerships and co-creation initiatives, in line with the provisions of the CDP Group's 2022-2024 Strategic Plan, which considers the development of ESG skills as a crucial factor for the country's development.
