Snam and Ansaldo Energia have promoted Call for Innovation for start-ups, inviting them to present innovative initiatives applicable to the company context.

Through its Foundation, Snam has launched the second edition of "Welfare che impresa!", a competition aimed at young social start-ups with the aim of creating optimal conditions for fostering a welfare society characterized by economic prosperity, social relations and quality of services. Competition winner Salerno-based start-up Tripmetoo set out to revolutionize users' travel experience. Active in the tourism sector, Tripmetoo offers the opportunity to build a tailor made travel experience, based on one's own passions, interests and needs. A system able to accommodate the needs of travelers and those of tourist facilities, which can communicate a service designed for each individual customer, encouraging their well-being and comfort.

Ansaldo Energia, in collaboration with Digital Magics EnergyTech, has launched Digital X Factory, the call for innovation aimed at all the innovative Italian start-ups and SMEs able to design and implement advanced technological solutions, applicable to company production processes. The Smart Track and Sentetic start-ups earned first and second place respectively, with two valuable initiatives. Smart Track has in fact presented an innovative proposal of Smart Safety, while Sentetic has created a project related to the application of predictive maintenance on industrial plants and turbines.

The two winners will be able to contribute to the creation of the Ansaldo Energia Lighthouse Plant, a plant conceived as a production system capable of evolving over time with the emerging technologies and with the results of research and innovation. Ansaldo Energia has been selected by the Smart Factory Cluster - on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development - as one of the first four Lighthouse Plant, completely based on digital technologies within the framework of the Enterprise 4.0 program.
