€750,000 from CDP for the city's largest school canteen and sports centre
Education, sport, environment: these are the key words underlying the relationship between the Municipality of Bra and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. Over the years, financing has been provided for the Rita Levi Montalcini school to be made earthquake-proof, and almost €300,000 granted to build the canteen at the Edoardo Mosca primary school. The canteen prepares over 1,800 meals every day, 1,300 of them for the city's students, while the others are delivered to the homes of elderly people with walking difficulties.
In addition, the Montecatini and Gianni Rodari kindergartens have been upgraded from an energy point of view, with improvements leading to a 40% reduction in energy requirements for heating. The works have been financed with resources from the Kyoto fund, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security's instrument managed by CDP, which supports the energy and water efficiency of public buildings such as schools, universities, sports facilities and healthcare facilities.
In addition to education, there have been other sports-related projects. A gymnasium was built in the village of Bandito and the sports centre was completed. CDP's contribution of around €450,000 has helped make the 30,000 square metre facility one of the most modern in the region, complete with an indoor athletics track and disabled access.
