Sace report on Italian exports explores leading sector

Sace presents “RE-action, Export Calling” in Milan - the latest report that encourages export companies to react and compete in the international markets, albeit in a time of uncertainty and global financial crisis.
According to Sace’s forecast, Italian exports will enjoy moderate growth in the next four years, reaching 480 billion euros in 2019.
The report focuses particularly on a sector of which little is known, but represents a Made-in-Italy sector with high potential on a global scale: mechanical engineering.
Italy holds second place in the world for packaging mechanical engineering, three percentage points below Germany. The country is third for mechanical engineering dedicated to the production of plastic and rubber tools.
