New sustainability targets for Eni and Snam

New sustainability targets for Eni and Snam

The companies, controlled by CDP Group, beat competition and take home the top grade in the Climate A List

Rome, 4 November 2016

Eni and Snam have been referred to as "global leaders" and included in the “Climate A List” of the 2016 Report by the Carbon Disclosure Project, a non-profit organization and reference point for the evaluation of standards and "environmental performance" of listed companies. The assessment included thousands of companies, of which only 9% achieved an “A List” score in the evaluation of actions and strategies to fight climate change.

The result reached by Eni and Snam, companies controlled by CDP Group,  testifies to their daily commitment in the fight against the climate change phenomenon, and demonstrates yet again the change of mentality and transition that many companies globally are moving towards a 'low-carbon economy, with consequent positive effects on the environment and creating numerous opportunities for development.

This is a global scenario where CDP Group's commitment to sustainability is well positioned and arises from the special nature of its business.  An integral part of CDP Group’s business involves projects that promote environmental protection and energy efficiency.
