The Municipality of Bergamo and CDP Real Asset SGR will work together to identify solutions to make good use of the former Caserme Colleoni e Montelungo barracks. The goal will be to redevelop an important area of the city of Bergamo and offer adequate, modern university services, in particular creating student housing intended to contribute significantly to meeting accommodation needs in the city.
The joint work of institution and CDP began following the public procedure – launched in January – to select an asset management company to manage the real estate fund dedicated to redeveloping the buildings, for which no proposal was received.
The commitment extends beyond the deadline with the aim of identifying new solutions in line with market conditions and in compliance with the fundamental aspects of the initiative.
