Moody's raises CDP’s Sustainability Rating by three points

Rome, 23 November 2022 - Cassa Depositi e Prestiti's (CDP) performance in terms of sustainability and adherence to ESG ("Environmental, Social and Governance") criteria has improved. In fact, the assessment process by Moody's ESG Solutions (business unit of the integrated risk assessment firm Moody’s) has been successfully completed: the Sustainability Rating on CDP's ESG-rated activities has increased by 3 points compared to 2021, reaching a score of 67/100.

CDP's ranking this year was one of the highest of the companies assessed by Moody's ESG Solutions both with respect to its sector (third out of twenty-two) and at the European level (58th out of 1,625), resulting in the best score category for its Sustainability Rating (A1).

The analysis shows how CDP's improvement on every dimension assessed derives from the considerable results achieved in the area of ESG implementation. This demonstrates that CDP's focus on sustainability is continuing and being reinforced, as envisaged in the 2022-2024 Strategic Plan and in line with the best practices of international financial institutions.

The challenge over the next few years will be to maintain and strengthen this positioning over time with a view to continual improvement in the implementation of ESG issues.
