Local Authorities: CDP helps areas affected by earthquakes

Deferred payment of loan installments granted to municipalities affected by the earthquakes of 2012, 2016 and 2017, for a total of €106 million. More than €20 billion have been allocated over the past seven years to revive territories affected by natural catastrophes.

CDP reaffirms its commitment Italian populations affected by earthquakes. Thanks to the measure approved by the Board of Directors during its latest meeting, local authorities of the territories hurt by earthquakes of 2012 - Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Veneto – and of 2016 and 2017 - Lazio, Abruzzo, Marche, Umbria and Ischia - will be able to postpone, without additional charges , the loan payment installments granted by CDP for an amount totaling more than €106 million.

The modalities for postponement are different and will be communicated directly to the bodies involved in the initiative, which is further evidence of CDP’s commitment to the realities created the earthquakes and other natural disasters.

In the last seven years, in fact, CDP has helped to concretely support populations affected by natural disasters, mobilizing over €20 billion for the reconstruction of housing and the resumption of economic activity.
