Juncker plan in Sicily: Sace grants Montalbano Recycling 400,000 euro credit line for international expansion

First operation under the initiative innovation and international growth – (Programma 2i per L’Impresa)

Credit line of 400 thousand euros to help Montalbano Recycling’s international expansion. The Sicilian SME specializes in treating and recycling waste.

It is CDP Group’s first Programma 2i per l'impresa‘s operation. The Sace and the European Investment Fund (European Investment Bank Group) initiative makes available Juncker Plan resources Plan to support Italian SMEs in their international expansion.

The loan was guaranteed by Sace, with a second guarantee by Eif* and provided by BancaImpresa and Iccrea Banca Don Rizzo Cooperative Credit of Western Sicily. It will allow Recycling Montalbano to support the renewal of machinery costs and functional facilities for the company’s expansion in Europe, the United States, Mexico and the Gulf countries.

Montalbano Recycling is headquartered in Carini (Palermo) and has decades of experience in the design and construction of technological and environmentally friendly systems, specifically for the recycling industry. It recycles and recovers electrical wires and aluminum residues. The company is already present in the international markets, which accounts for some 80% of revenues (with a total turnover of 2.5 million euro in 2015).
