Juncker Plan: CDP Participates In Promoting \Tandem Tour\ of the European Commission

A journey through Italy to present opportunities and tools of the Investment Plan for Europe

The Italian delegation of the European Commission presents the so-called Tandem Tour, an initiative that will cross Italy to inform the country about new tools and opportunities provided for in the Investment Plan for Europe (commonly referred to as the "Juncker Plan"), managed by European Union, European Investment Bank, and Cassa depositi e prestiti in its role as National Promotional Institution.

Recipients of the initiative are companies, trade associations, banks and credit institutions, as well as local institutions such as universities and local authorities, who will be informed about opportunities offered by the Juncker Plan in terms of new tools to promote investments by encouraging innovation, growth and competitiveness and strengthening the infrastructure within the EU.

The Tandem Tour will reach several Italian cities with the first stop in Turin on March 28, where CDP will present its successful experience in the implementation of the Juncker Plan, alongside the European Commission, European Investment Bank, and ABI Piedmont.

The next leg will take place on April 13 in Milan. There will be presentations by representatives of the European Commission, European Investment Bank, ABI Lombardy, the European Social and Economic Committee, and other lenders who have signed agreements in the FEIS (i.e. the European Fund for Strategic Investment, the main element of the Investment plan for Europe). Speakers include SMEs that have benefited from loans.

The tour will then stop on May 16 in Taranto, on May 23 in Genova, and on June 7 in Modena - for a conference specifically aimed at SMEs. The last stop take place in November in Bologna.

Over the summer, events will be planned in Central and Southern Italy.
