Bond issues worth 50 million euro for Fabbrica Italiana Sintetici SpA in support of increased production and innovation
CDP acts on behalf of the Italian business system, supporting investments in business innovation with the funding of Fabbrica Italiana Sintetici SpA (F.I.S). Indeed it has underwritten 50 million euro in bond issues for the Italian company specialising in the production of chemical products for the pharmaceutical industry, to assist its growth by supporting investment in research, development and innovation.
Funds from CDP will be used by Fabbrica Italiana Sintetici to finance the company's new investment plan through new activities that will increase production capacity, reduce costs, improve operational efficiency and increase in the reliability of systems. The issue, structured and placed by Mediobanca - Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA as Lead Manager, lasts seven years, providing an annual coupon of 2.747% and a bullet payment on maturity.
This support for FIS confirms CDP’s continuing commitment to the development of Industry 4.0 in Italy, the main instrument to promote the improvement of industrial performance. Indeed, to date about 600 Italian companies have taken advantage of CDP’s support with the equivalent of 1.1 billion euro mobilised.
