New production for electric vehicles in Poland, Czech Republic and USA
UFI Filters, a company based in the province of Verona, produces filtration and thermal management systems for applications ranging from nautical to hydraulic and aerospace to automotive and has established itself as one of the leading international players in the sector.
Its products cover 96% of European cars in circulation and its technologies can be found everywhere, from Formula One with Ferrari and other major teams to the European ExoMars spacecraft. UFI Filters produces 70 million filters each year; it has 4,400 employees and turnover of €530 million. The Group has doubled its revenues in the last ten years thanks to diversifying into foreign markets and investing in research and development, which has resulted in 280 internationally recognised patents. The company currently has 21 production sites worldwide, located in Italy, Germany, Mexico, China, India, Poland, the Czech Republic, Brazil, South Korea and Tunisia
To support continued growth abroad, CDP has provided €20 million in financing to aid expansion in the Czech Republic, Poland and USA. The investment will allow it to produce filtration and thermal management systems for electric and electrified vehicles and reduce the impact of its production from an energy and waste management perspective.
The loan to UFI Filters is further confirmation of CDP’s role in promoting quality Italian manufacturing throughout the world and supporting the country’s most innovative enterprises in a sustainability-driven framework.
