Former Sadoch factory to be converted, to host social housing

Due CDP Investimenti Sgr 83 apartments under construction

The former Saul Sadoch factory in Trieste was acquired by the Fund Social Housing FVG, in which takes part CDP Investimenti Sgr (subsidiary of CDP Group) through its Fondo Investimenti per l’Abitare (FIA). The operation is part of a project aimed at the regeneration of the area, which today comprises an eight-floor and a three-floor building.

The Fund will realize a real estate complex of about 8,900 square meters with 83 rooms (13 studios, 53 two-bedroom apartments and 17 three-bedroom apartments), three social spaces and a commercial space. In addition, 71 of these accommodations will be offered at discounted costs associated with social housing,  while the remaining 12 will be offered at market rates. All apartments have a garage, are placed in a residential urban environment,  and are well serviced, both for basic necessities that access to services such as schools and public transport. The work is scheduled to start in the fall with completed targeted within 18 months.
