Project for redevelopment of former military barracks presented at the Maxxi Museum

Rome, November 3, 2016

Promoted by CDP, the Flaminio Project competition aims to redevelop the eponymous district of Rome, starting from the area that housed the former military barracks Guido Reni (owned by the CDP Group).

Speaking at the Maxxi as part of the program of events Yap Fest 2016, CDP Investimenti Sgr Managing Director Marco Sangiorgio underlined the importance of the space.   "We must all ask ourselves" about the destination of public real estate, "because it is owned by all," he said.

Many young architects attended the event. Winning architect Paola Viganò addressed them about the design. The distinguishing element of the project to expand Via Guido Reni where there are many commercial spaces, to make a green square, he said.
