The castle restored and the bank of the river Po made safe
A symbol of the city, built in the 14th century, which is once again accessible to locals and visitors. This is the Belgioioso Castle, restored thanks to Cassa Depositi e Prestiti financing, which now hosts exhibitions, fairs and events.
The collaboration between CDP and the Municipality was not limited to developing historical heritage but also extended to vital works for the area, flooding protection for the bank of the river Po. An initiative to primarily protect the inhabitants of Santa Margherita, who have been threatened by disasters in the past.
The commitment to the citizens of Belgioioso also involved the expansion of the Don Leo Cerabolini nursery school, to allow for improved services for children and shorter waiting lists in the Municipality.
Culture, safety and education are the cornerstones of the link between Belgioso and CDP, which is ever more attentive to the needs of local communities with a view to social cohesion and sustainability.
