Three cutting-edge European projects in the field of sustainability and social innovation awarded with the ELTI awards
Madrid/Rome, July 20, 2023 – The CEO of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) Dario Scannapieco is the new president of the European Long Term Investors Association (ELTI), the Association that brings together Europe's 32 leading National Promotion and Financial Institutions, including the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Scannapieco's appointment comes on the association's 10th anniversary. Founded in Paris in 2013 to foster joint initiatives for sustainable growth among the National Promotion Institutes of EU member countries, ELTI today ensures coordinated dialogue with European institutions and joint actions in strategic areas such as energy supply, infrastructure and social development, digitization, and energy transition, while also helping to attract resources and investment for the private sector. With total assets of more than 2.7 trillion euros, ELTI member institutions have financed new projects worth more than 320 billion euros in the past year.
The new president's three-year term will be marked by a twofold objective: to further strengthen the association's leadership at key European discussion tables - also by strengthening the internal governance - and to contribute to its further enlargement, by working for new strategic partners to join the Association.
Newly elected ELTI President Dario Scannapieco, General Manager and CEO of the Italian Cassa Depositi e Prestiti - CDP, commented on its mandate and on the 10th anniversary of the association:
