The agreement between CDP and the Unión Industrial Argentina aims to promote investment, business-matching initiatives and partnerships in sectors that are strategic for bilateral cooperation.
The Italian Chambers of Commerce in Argentina and Brazil have signed two Memoranda of Understanding with CDP and SIMEST to support the internationalisation and growth of SMEs.
Promoting investment, supporting companies’ internationalisation and strengthening dialogue between the business communities of Italy, Argentina and Brazil. These are the objectives of the three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed as part of the business mission promoted by Confindustria, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), which involved Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and SIMEST in the two South American countries.
More specifically, on 8 September in Buenos Aires, CDP signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Unión Industrial Argentina (UIA) to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries. The agreement aims to promote business-matching initiatives between Italian and Argentine companies, support mutual investment and encourage the creation of new joint ventures, with a particular focus on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. These initiatives will focus particularly on sectors of greatest importance for bilateral cooperation, ranging from critical minerals, energy and energy efficiency to the green transition and circular economy, as well as infrastructure and sustainable mobility.
As part of the same mission, CDP and SIMEST signed two further Memoranda of Understanding in Argentina and Brazil, respectively with the Cámara de Comercio Italiana en la República Argentina (CCI) and the Câmara de Comércio Italiana de São Paulo (ITALCAM). The two agreements aim to strengthen cooperation with the Italian Chambers of Commerce as strategic partners in supporting Italian companies’ growth in the Argentine and Brazilian markets. The agreements will promote the dissemination of information and market opportunities, the organisation of joint initiatives and stronger ties between the business ecosystems of the three countries, with a particular focus on SMEs.
