CDP Participates In Milan “Living The Future” Urban Policy Workshop

CDP real estate head joins Italian infrastructure minister and top local and regional politicians in policy discussions

Rome January 24, 2017

New housing solutions, territorial strategies and urban progress were themes discussed at  "Living in the Future,"  a workshop on urban development in Milan. Profound changes in housing and accumulated delays in the field of urban policies pose the need to re-define and re-plan an effective series of initiatives throughout Italy. The Milan event is the first of a series of meetings that will take place across Italy (L'Aquila, Ancona, Caserta, Naples, Bari) with the aim of attracting new planning and strategic proposals on growth and urban regeneration.

The project represents an important moment of reflection and debate on urban policies among the major stakeholders of the public real estate sector and aims at contributing ideas and practical proposals to better organize programming and development prospects for Italian cities, consist with policies implemented at a European level.

Two more workshop sessions will follow the Milan session, which will conclude with the presentation of a position paper to the Italian Parliament, Senate and the Permanent Conference for relations between the state, regions and autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano. CDP’s participation confirms its key mission: to promote the future underlining the importance of citizens and economic development.

In addition to Chairman of CDP Real Estate Aldo Mazzocco and the Director of Social Housing of CDP Investimenti Sgr Stefania Paola Delmonte, guests attending the workshop included Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Graziano Del Rio, Lombardy Region President Roberto Maroni, and Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala.
