CDP Foundation – increased research funding, in collaboration with Cariplo

Strengthening financial support for young Italian researchers and the entire national research network. The CDP Foundation and the Cariplo Foundation have provided €1.35 million to fund 16 projects selected among those submitted by Italian scientists to competitions by the European Research Council.

Each project will benefit from a grant of up to €90,000 to support the development of research activities, the publishing of papers and studies in prestigious journals and the implementation of educational programmes at international centres.

The researchers selected work in major Italian universities and centres, and across a range of academic disciplines: from physical and engineering sciences to life and social sciences, on highly relevant topics such as data science, climate change and renewable energy.

As such, this represents a consolidation of the collaboration with foundations of banking origin, and especially with Cariplo, aimed at supporting Italian talent and scientific research.
