On 31 January, CDP Chairman Giovanni Gorno Tempini and UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi met at the Via Goito headquarters to explore possible areas of joint action and launch a cooperation programme.
During the visit, the tools at CDP's disposal were analysed with a view to possible synergies with UNHCR in the countries most involved in refugee protection and assistance activities. In particular, possible collaborations on development finance and climate finance were discussed, in relation to projects on infrastructure, energy, food security, combating climate change and refugee training and economic reintegration.
Chairman Gorno Tempini thereby confirmed the CDP Group's commitment to develop international cooperation activities in coordination with Italian institutions and strengthen partnerships with major international institutions and organisations, starting with the United Nations system.
