From the World Economic Forum, the annual meeting for international politicians, economists and intellectuals, CDP Chairman Claudio Costamagna was interviewed exclusively by Bloomberg TV. Speaking with anchorwoman Francine Lacqua, he discussed CDP investments in support of Italian enterprises, the economic-financial scenario in Italy and Europe, and the situation of the Italian national banking system. In particular, he focused on CDP investments used to remedy a market failure, such as the one recently approved with the European Investment Fund: “Our objective is to finance the country’s growth: we are about to invest €600 million in venture capital and technology transfer in order to generate a market which does not exist yet in Italy”, Costamagna concluded.
