Rome, February 1st 2023 – Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) announces that Paolo Lombardo has been appointed as Head of the new International Cooperation and Development Finance Department of CDP.
Paolo Lombardo, born in La Spezia in 1964, graduated in Economics from Bocconi, has held positions of increasing responsibility in various companies and institutions, including Eni, S.G. Warburg, Asian Development Bank and ABB Structured Finance. He then joined the European Investment Bank (EIB) in 2002 and, in recent years, has held the position of Head of Risks, Head of the Investment Portfolio in Emerging Countries and, more recently, Head of the EIB Hub in East Africa.
In CDP he will be responsible for defining and implementing international cooperation and development finance policies in Italy's partner countries around the world.
