A unique chance to talk and engage with mayors and representatives from Italian municipalities. That’s what the Annual ANCI Assembly, held in Genoa from 24 to 26 October, means for Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, where it was once again a main partner this year. The opening day featured speeches from the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, and the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni.
The title selected for the 40th edition was “Three Colours on the Heart. Mayors Unite Italy”, emphasising the crucial role that municipalities play in the country's social cohesion.
More than 7,000 mayors, officials and guests gathered to discuss and share experiences, projects and ideas centred on the energy and digital transition, infrastructure, and the execution of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The CEO discussed CDP’s broad selection of financial and advisory services designed to boost local community growth. This includes new instruments like the Green Loan, a product developed with the EIB to back projects that have a positive environmental and social impact.
Since last year, CDP has pledged over €6 billion to public services and the third sector, including more than €2 billion to 1,500 municipalities – figures which account for roughly 10% of all Italian municipal investments, considering 2022 alone.
Workshop on CDP’s latest developments for the Public Administration
During the ANCI Assembly, CDP ran a workshop to showcase our new offerings, including the Green Loan, the Project Revolving Fund, The NRRP-PNC Investment Loan, Cash Advance, and Treasury Service.
Representatives from organisations across Italy attended the event, visiting the CDP stand and meeting our experts across the three days of proceedings.
