€20 million from CDP for the Tuscan company

Supporting new investments in research, development and innovation and strengthening growth in the Italian market. These are the objectives of the €20 million medium- to long-term loan granted by CDP to Aboca, a leading Tuscan company in the natural biotechnology sector.

The company currently operates across 1,700 hectares, cultivating more than 60 species of medicinal plants. It holds 21 national and international patents, exports to 17 countries, and distributes its products through pharmacies, parapharmacies and herbal shops.

More than 1,600 employees work in the company in Italy and abroad, and in 2021, Aboca achieved a turnover of €190 million.

The CDP loan will support the investments outlined in the Business Plan for the period 2022-2024, with which the group wants to strengthen its position in the syrups and liquid products market and gain market share in the powders and dry products segment.

These objectives will be achieved through the purchase of new machinery and the development of new technologies to ensure high production standards.

The new initiatives will enable Aboca to produce innovative products for people's health and well-being, in line with the company's historical mission.
