CDP Equity
CDP Equity’s operations aim to strengthen fundamental industrial assets for the country. The focus is aimed at strategic sectors for the country and key technologies for its development. CDP Equity operates mainly through two instruments. The first is private equity, with which it provides patient capital to accompany dimensional growth and technological development, and encourage the recovery of strategic companies during times of financial stress, also by giving them stable governance. The second is venture capital to support start-ups and innovative companies for their entire life cycle.
CDP Equity supports the private Italian market with additional or complementary resources. It acts preferably as a minority shareholder, with an appropriate representation on boards of directors. Its portfolio comprises direct investments in listed and unlisted companies and indirect investments by means of investee asset management companies.
