The CDP Group has access, through CDP Equity, to a guarantee of approximately 372 million euro.
On 7 October 2022, CDP Equity signed a Guarantee Agreement with the European Commission under the InvestEU Fund covering a guarantee of up to 312 million to support investments for the development of Italian venture capital for a total of 520 million.
The Guarantee Agreement was first amended on 15 December 2023, to increase the EU guarantee by 60 million, with the aim of supporting investments in the pan-European fund “Marguerite III” targeting environmentally-friendly and digital infrastructure.
In this context, CDP Equity has studied, developed and implemented two products to encourage indirect equity investments, supporting both the venture capital market and development of environmentally-friendly and digital infrastructure, as described in more detail below.
The CDPE RIDW Intermediated Equity product is an instrument designed to foster indirect equity investments (through the underwriting of investment funds) to support the venture capital market and falls under the Research, Innovation and Digitisation Window. The use of this instrument involves making investments in accordance with the objectives set out in the Product Schedule.
