Morandi Bridge: a real estate property to house the families struck by the collapse

CDP and the City of Genoa, in coordination with the Liguria Region, have made available the former Casa delle Infermiere Building to accommodate Genoa's population that fell victim to the hardships caused by the collapse of the Morandi Bridge

CDP, which has always supported the local area, stepped in to support Genoa's population struck by the collapse of the Morandi Bridge on 14 August. It is working in synergy with the City of Genoa and the Liguria Region to tangibly help the families left homeless.

The former Casa delle Infermiere Building, owned by CDP Immobiliare, was indeed placed at the disposal of the civil defence system. With a usable surface area of 2,200 sq.m and 40 residences already furnished, the facility is able to accommodate over 100 people and will be assigned to the City of Genoa at welfare rent. The intervention will allow many families to find lodging and will contribute to the socio-economic recovery of the City of Genoa and of the entire Ligurian territory where CDP operates, in constant collaboration with the City and with the Region through the Group's activities and those of the investee companies Fincantieri and Ansaldo Energia. Promoting the future means this too: taking the field in difficult times and supporting the area with concrete interventions.
