Restoring historic parks and gardens: NRRP funds | CDP

Enhancement of historical parks and gardens (MiC)

NRRP Public Notice

We are providing support and technical assistance to the Ministry of Culture (MiC) in the management of applications for participation in the "Public Notice for the restoration and enhancement of Historic Parks and Gardens"  financed by NRRP funds.

Who it is aimed at

Both public and private owners of historic parks and gardens open to the public and recognised by the MiC.

How it works

The objectives of the "Public Notice for the restoration and enhancement of Historic Parks and Gardens" are set out in the NRRP measure M1C3 - Tourism and Culture, Investment 2.3 Programmes to enhance the identity of places: historic parks and gardens. The total allocated funding amounts to €190 million, 20% of which is for the South.

The public notice provides funding for strategic interventions with the following aims:

  • regenerate and redevelop Italian parks and gardens of cultural interest;
  • strengthen the identity of places, improve the quality of the landscape and the quality of life and mental/physical well-being of citizens;
  • create new hubs and ways of enjoying culture and tourism;
  • contribute to the strengthening of environmental protection values;
  • improve historic gardens and parks in terms of the scientific, technical, botanical and environmental knowledge developed, tested and built up over the centuries.

More information can be found on the Ministry of Culture website
