The proceeds will support the growth, investment and acquisition plans of four Emilia-Romagna companies – Ecogest, Lea-Renergy, RM Multimedia and Senzani Brevetti – in both domestic and international markets
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and BPER Banca are strengthening their support for SMEs in Emilia-Romagna with the completion of new bond issues worth a total of more than €12 million under the Basket Bond Emilia-Romagna programme. The proceeds will support the growth, investment and development plans of four Emilia-Romagna companies: Ecogest, Lea-Renergy, RM Multimedia and Senzani Brevetti.
The four companies have issued six-year minibonds to finance investments aimed at increasing their competitiveness in domestic and international markets. Specifically, Ecogest, which provides roadside and motorway landscaping maintenance services, issued a €3 million minibond; Lea-Renergy, which specialises in the design and construction of photovoltaic systems and solutions for the energy transition, completed a €3.5 million issue; RM Multimedia, a distributor of professional technologies for the live performance, events and entertainment sectors, issued a €3.6 million minibond; and Senzani Brevetti, which specialises in the design and manufacture of automated machinery and complete packaging lines, issued a €2 million minibond.
The bonds were subscribed by a special purpose vehicle (SPV), which financed the transaction through the issuance of securities subscribed in equal shares by CDP and BPER Banca, acting as anchor investors.
The initiative forms part of the Emilia-Romagna Region’s strategy to facilitate small and medium-sized enterprises’ access to capital markets and support their investments. The programme benefits from the support of the Minibond Guarantee Fund, an instrument promoted by the Region to facilitate companies’ access to innovative forms of financing and mobilise private resources in support of the local economy, as part of the Emilia-Romagna 2021–2027 ERDF Regional Programme.
With these four new transactions, the programme, which has a total allocation of €100 million, has reached a cumulative volume of approximately €30 million and now involves nine SMEs operating across different sectors of the Italian economy.
