Sustainability governance
For the Group, sustainability means first and foremost, an ethical and cultural approach throughout the entire organisation that lays the foundations for a sustainable business, creating financial, environmental and social value for all its stakeholders and strengthening the relationship of trust on a daily basis.

The Parent Company's management and control model is focussed on the principles of integrity and transparency and ensures that sustainability is a priority for the whole company.

Our sustainability reports

The CDP Group began a process of mapping and measuring the social and environmental impact related to company activities. In line with international best practice, our performance is measured with the aim of providing reliable, complete, balanced, accurate, comprehensible and comparable information.

The collected data also includes the economic, social and environmental performance of the companies’ subject to management and coordination by the CDP Group.

To achieve this, we have adopted the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Standards as our reporting standards. GRI is an international organisation that aims to help public and private entities understand, measure and communicate the impact of any activity on the various sustainability dimensions (economic, environmental and social). The Sustainability Reporting Standards are the latest evolution and most up-to-date version of the original parameters developed by the organisation.

The 2020 Integrated Report was prepared in compliance with Legislative Decree No. 254/2016 and also includes the supplementary Non-Financial Declaration that the Group has been publishing since 2017. Furthermore, it was prepared in accordance with the "GRI core" option, i.e. by selecting specific standards related to economic, environmental and social issues, and taking into account the guiding principles of the International "IR" Framework, published in December 2013 by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

The CDP Group submits all its reports for external review. For 2020, the identified auditor is Deloitte & Touche S.p.A
